The final section game for stage 1 of the Mixed Triples League was played tonight, where in Section A, Northern C defeated Portlethen A by 15-4. This result meant that Drumoak A finished runners-up in section A and were in the mix for one of the three best runners-up positions to qualify for the Quarter Final knockout stage.

By way of a reminder, the five section winners were – Polmuir B, Newhills A, Abergeldie, Newhills B and Whitehall B.

To decide the three best runners-up, for those runners-up in sections A-D, which contained 7 teams, the results against the bottom team in the section were ignored and accordingly adjusted. Based on the adjusted points and shot difference, the three best runners-up were – Laurencekirk A, Drumoak A and Laurencekirk B.

The quarter final draw, with matches being played tomorrow (Friday 19th July – 7pm start) is as follows:

Polmuir B v Laurencekirk B (played at Newhills BC)
Newhills B v Whitehall B (played at Balgownie BC)
Newhills A v Drumoak A (played at Balgownie BC)
Abergeldie v Laurencekirk A (played at Newhills BC)
