The quarter finals of the Top Ten Triples were played at Woodend and thankfully after the torrential rain earlier in the day it was a pleasant evening. Thanks to Phyllis & Isla for organising everything & to the ladies who looked after the spectators with refreshments during the game and to the players after the game. Thanks also to Gordon Coull our umpire for the evening and I know he was kept busy which is great to see. Some of the ladies playing were also kept busy chasing the baby gulls off the green. The all Newhills tie went to an extra end and the spectators were struggling to see who was lying as it was getting so dark in the end, it all came down to the last bowl played by Kirsty that decided the game.
